From Diagnosis to Action: Understanding a Psycho-Educational report
This talk aims to help teachers gain a better understanding of Psycho-Educational assessments and what they are all about. I will also point out what each assessment should include in order for it to be a good reflection of a child’s abilities. There are several different tests that are used and this workshops will also introduce you to those tests, what the different subtests mean and how the results can guide you to understanding the way the child learns in the classroom. Assessment measures that will be discussed include the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV), Senior and Junior South African Individual Scales (SSAIS-R / JSAIS), Wechsler Individual Aptitude Test (WIAT) and several other scholastic assessments.
Questions are welcome.
